Denver Colfax Photosafari Spring 2009

It's that time of year again ... time to dust off your camera and get ready to hit the bricks! The Denver Colfax Photosafari returns!!!

The Denver Colfax Photosafari gathers amateur + professional photographers to capture the essence of this avenue of old-school awesomeness, one photo at a time. Photosafaris are for all levels of photographer, from the camera-phone-enthusiast to the full-time professional; we learn from each other at every level, so everyone is welcome. And, just to get you started, here's nice little article called 21 Ways to Shoot Better.


AGENDA
12–2pm food & drinks at Atomic Cowboy
2–6:30pm walk around, take pictures, meetup for more food & drinks
6:30–8pm magic hour! time to take awesome photos
8–9pm afterparty drinks, apps & "pass the camera" at Cheeky Monk
9–11pm more afterparties at Neopolitan, Fabric Lab, The Shoppe, Plastic Chapel, etc.


Did you notice that from 2–6:30 those meetups are not scheduled ahead of time? That's because we're leaving this part up to you. Plan your own meetup and add it to the events list here. There will be lots of us out there, so don't worry if there's more than one at the same time.

This is a postmodern photosafari, which means "social photography in new + forgotten places." You're free to roam solo, in pairs, groups, whatever. As a participant, you are responsible for you, and I am responsible for me. But WE will do this together: it's called "collective independence." That's why it's awesome.
